FREE KOOKABURRA KIDS CAMP!!!! Our South Coast Grades 9-12 camp will be held from Friday 19th May- Sunday 21st May. If you know of a child who is living with a parent or sibling with a mental illness then please refer to Kookaburra Kids! So that they can enjoy a free weekend of fun activities, meeting new friends in similar situations and learning a bit about mental illness, as well as taking part in a graffiti artist workshop. Free transport available from Albion Park and Bomaderry!

Kookaburra Kids is running its first South Coast camp of 2017 for children living in families affected by mental illness. The weekend will be jam-packed with fun activities, superhero games, craft, and the chance to meet many new friends! The camps are FREE for children to attend. When: Friday 24th February- Sunday 26th February 2017. Who: Children in school grades 5&6. Transport: Free buses will be provided from Wollongong, Albion Park and Nowra.

Amp Camp 2017 - A camp for Australian Youth, aged 12 years and over with amputation, limb loss or limb difference. March 10th - 12th, 2017, Extra optional day, March 13th *at extra cost. Fun activities, Action and Laughs, Funding and Support, Friendship, Games and More. Cost: $55 per person Location: Teen Ranch Cobbitty NSW Travel Assistance and funding available for Interstate and Rural areas. Prosthetics and Health Personnel on hand to provide assistance and advice.

The Physical Disability Council NSW is hosting free NDIS Ready Workshops. This 2 day workshop offers individuals and carers a better understanding of the NDIS, how to prepare to access the NDIS if you are eligible, and to start ‘pre planning.’ Day 1 starts at 10am and runs until 4pm. Day 2 starts at 9am and runs until 3pm.

The research team at the Getting An Early Start To Aspirations research project (University of Wollongong) would like to talk to parents, caregivers and family members who care for young children and who have not attended university to find out their thoughts on education and about their educational experiences. Are you working in a service in the Shoalhaven area? Do you have a client who might be willing to participate in 4 individual interviews (one every 6 months)?
