COMMUNITY DEVLOPMENT & ENGAGEMENT REPRESENTATIVE

Richmond Community Services Inc. has a vacancy for an exciting new 4 year position. This is a great opportunity to become a member of a highly proactive and dedicated team. Applicants must meet the selection criteria. Please note: CV’s/ Resumes will not be accepted.

Essential Selection Criteria:

  1. A relevant tertiary qualification and/or demonstrable equivalent professional experience plus sufficient practical experience to carry out most tasks in the discipline.
  2. Substantial experience in community engagement and community development practice in disadvantaged communities.
  3. Demonstrated understanding and commitment to access and equity and social justice principles.
  4. Excellent facilitation skills for working with groups to create collaborative solutions and make sound decisions.
  5. Demonstrated ability to develop positive collaborative relationships and partnerships with a broad range of stakeholders.
  6. Good communication and listening skills with the ability to identify and document outcomes of community conversations.
  7. Demonstrated experience in analysing, thinking critically and reflecting on practice.
  8. Good organisational and resource management skills.
  9. Ability to make informed decisions in a responsive and open manner in collaboration with others and be accountable for these decisions and actions.
  10. High level computer literacy skills.
  11. Willingness to work under Workplace Health and Safety guidelines and adhere to grievance procedures.
  12. Current Working with Children and Criminal History Check.
  13. Current Drivers Licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.

Desirable Criteria: 

  1. An understanding of the current Community Builders Program and experience of evaluating activities outcomes.
  2. Good working knowledge of the Hawkesbury.
  3. Good working knowledge of the Hawkesbury.

This position is offered at SCHADS award Grade 4 with above award options.
