**Service Coordinator - Next Step Community Services (Wyong Office)**

Next Step Inc is a diversified company with 3 separate branches, all aiming on improving the lives of vulnerable members of our community.
The company started with an Outreach Program reliant on community funding and is now self-sufficient and funded through the work we do with young people and adults in our Out of Home Care and NDIS Programs.
Next Step Inc aims to support and enhance the lives of vulnerable young people with high and complex needs. We are committed to providing a therapeutic approach based on best practice.
To be successful in this role you will be enthusiastic and be able to diversify your skills across all operational areas of the organisation. You will be familiar with the community sector and be able to provide guidance and direction to the organisation's managers. You will be a team player reporting directly to the Operations Manager.

It is essential you have:
Experience and knowledge in using NDIS software programs and procedures.
Leadership skills and/or experience: lead and manage Next Step Inc in providing efficient and effective business support services to the operations team.
Strategic management skills/experience: aligning corporate services plans and tasks with the Strategic Plan, collaboratively working with the broader Next Step Inc team and continuously improving processes to achieve organisational outcomes.
Highly organised person who demonstrates a meticulous commitment to achieving goals, taking responsibility for both yours and your teams work.
Strong communicator and act proactively in a self-motivated manner.
Always seeking out ideas, information, and different perspectives to continuously improve.
Enjoy working within a team, toward organisational goals and are flexible and able to change course when needed, all while ensuring goals are met.
A systematic thinker, you evaluate to generate rational and appropriate conclusions and solutions.
Key selection criteria
Relevant Tertiary qualification (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of Three years Industry experience.
Demonstrated experience in using the NDIS portal (PRODA) and the quoting, planning, and tracking of participant’s funds.
Demonstrated experience in managing the coordination of referrals and intake of participants.
Demonstrated experience in applying work health and safety legislation, especially performing risk assessments of placements.
Experienced in general reporting procedures and community engagement.
Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of policy and procedure.
Demonstrated experience in managing and building external contracts and liaising with external organisational stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability in building and maintaining a positive and healthy workplace culture to achieve organisational goals.
Demonstrated experience in respite services; rostering and booking such services.
Willingness to travel interstate from time to time.
Demonstrated experience in managing a team and facilitating in house training
Relevant probity clearances or willingness to undertake such clearances.
Willingness to undergo NSW Working with Children Check & National Police Certificate.
